Fast Reader, Slow Reader

I lament that I am not a fast reader. Perhaps it is the curse of a writer to feel obligated to read every word, and to study them as they go by, then look at the sentence followed by the paragraph they belong to. Maybe I just prefer taking my time with a book I enjoy.

There are times, however, when I plow through books rapidly because they do not hold my interest. I still consider them as books I have read; I read them enough to not read any further.

Still, I wish I could read the books I enjoy just a little bit faster because there are so many.
